Our purpose in Women’s Ministries is to equip and empower the women in our congregation to acknowledge and accept the call of God upon their lives.
Women’s Ministries holds regular monthly meetings where we gather together to encourage, pray, and minister to each other, to increase our faith, and to reach out to those in need.
Through Women’s Ministries we extend our hands and hearts to all women in the Church; however, we have an expanded outreach ministry to visit those in nursing homes, hospitals, and those who are homebound.
We have several ladies in the congregation who knit or crochet Prayer Shawls for those in the church who are sick or in the hospital. These Prayer Shawls are prayed over by the ladies in Women’s Ministries, and are given to those in the congregation who are sick or in the hospitals or nursing homes. These Prayer Shawls allow them to wrap themselves in prayer and bring them love and comfort during their illness.
Women’s Ministries also supports Peniel Ministries, a rehabilitation facility for those addicted to drugs and alcohol; Covenant Sisters; the Children’s Home of North Carolina; Women With a Mission; and our local Religious Community Services soup kitchen.
